ongoing Activities throughout the Semester:
Service
Project Friday
The Newman Center strives to serve our local community and to open the eyes of our students' to the needs of those around them. We volunteer almost every month (usually on Friday because most students don't have classes that day) with various organizations
around the St. Louis Metro Area. Help alleviate sub-standard housing, help feed those in
poverty, or help educate children by volunteering with us. If you would like to be placed on
our Service Friday e-mail list, send your name and e-mail
address to cnc@cncumsl.org.
If you join the e-mail list, we will alert you to upcoming
service opportunities a few weeks before the event. See past projects here.
Wednesday's
Noon at the Nosh
Last Wednesday of every month
Ever wanted to dine with the CNC staff? Our Wednesday's Noon at the
Nosh is your perfect opportunity! Fr. Bill, Liz, and Kay will
be in the Nosh Cafeteria on the first floor of the MSC
waiting to dine with YOU (maybe they will even have some
free dessert for you)! Look for us every last Wednesday of the month.
"Variety Prayer" Group
Join us as we expand our rosary prayer group to include not only rosary, but many kinds of prayer. Every week, we will either say the rosary or pray a new variety of prayer--suggestions are welcome. So far we have ideas that include: Liturgy of the Hours, Taize Prayer, Centering Prayer, Meditation, Ignatian Prayer, and Faith Sharing! See you there! Everyone is welcome, there is no commitment or experience necessary. Check back for the dates, thanks!

This mass is relaxing and reflective...perfect for some quality time with God. Join us afterwards for a simple meal of soup and bread.
