ongoing Activities throughout the Semester:
Faith in Action Fridays
The Newman Center strives to serve our local community and to open the eyes of our students' to the needs of those around them. We volunteer every month (usually on Friday because most students don't have classes that day) with various organizations
around the St. Louis Metro Area. Some past sites have included Habitat for Humanity, St Vincent de Paul Thrift Stores, and Crisis Nursery. If you would like to be placed on
our Service Friday e-mail list, send your name and e-mail
address to cnc@cncumsl.org.
If you join the e-mail list, we will alert you to upcoming
service opportunities a few weeks before the event. See past projects here.
Noon at the Nosh
Last Wednesday of every month
Ever wanted to dine with the CNC staff? Our Wednesday's Noon at the
Nosh is your perfect opportunity! Fr. Bill, Rachelle, Bridget and Kay will
be in the Nosh Cafeteria on the first floor of the MSC
waiting to dine with YOU (maybe they will even have some
free dessert)! Look for us every last Wednesday of the month.
Teach Pray
Ever wonder how your friends pray? A weekly spiritual program in which students (typically officers) introduce and lead various ways to pray for three week cycles beginning in the second week of school and ending the week before exams. It's only 30 min-hr to pause your day, listen to the Holy Spirit within each of us, and connect to the Lord. All are welcome!
